Galaxy tab P1000
Today my friend lent me his Galaxy tab P1000
It really took mesome time to get used to the Android OS, for me it seem that the iOS is a bit better and that some things still need to get smoothed out. All said I am enjoying the 7" size.
My friend said that after the craze went over for his other 10" Android Galaxy tab he prefers to walk with his phone as it can do all of what the bigger tabs can do, only its smaller.
I am also convinced that I am getting a bluetooth keyboard as even with the keypad beibg bigger it is still difficult to type with more than two fingers.

GTD Part 2
I had a look at my GTD system again to see if there is not a way for me to handle things more productively.
It normally takes a long time to explain to someone how GTD work and what are the benefits etc. but I came across a very good site that explains how it works quite neatly.
Have a look at this video and then at the bottom of this blog you will get the link to their site with many videos that you can watch. It is really good info.

Getting Things Done - Intro
At a quick meeting the other day I told the people about GTD (Getting Things Done). This is an amazing methodology or way to handle what you need to do, how you need to do it, and where to store the stuff to get it again.
David Allen is they guy who started it here is his website http://www.davidco.com/ I see that they've recently updated their website so it is more friendly than the last time.

How to save time
So you are on the web, messing around, you find something interesting (and you don't have personal brain). How can you increase your productivity plus read all the interesting stuff you would like to LATER.
How do you store this page and other similar ones for later reading, like when you are on the train, plain or sitting waiting for the doctor?
Enter Pocket or Instapaper or Readability.
Anyone of these apps whichever you choose is great. I personally use Pocket. I have installed as an extension in my Chrome browser on my PC, I also have it installed on my iPhone. You could also have it on your iPad or any Pad etc.
This is how it works, I see something I like but have to work, I click the the Pocket icon, it asks me for a tags (something to remember it by). Enter and close. That is it. When I have time or waiting for something, I take my iPhone, open pocket and there are all my saved pages, without pics etc. I can read it quickly, and use what I want. If I really need the article for later or to put into my brain app, I can email it or send it to various other places from within the app.
Here is the intro video for Pocket:

Chrome over safari on ios iPhone
It's true chrome is now available on iOS. I've just switched and like it over safari. I will use it a few days and see but chrome on mobile seems well thought out.
Just go to your app store and download.
I also like the way the tabs function work on Chrome iOS rather than Safari. Safari on the iOS for me really seems like an afterthought whereas Google Chrome iOS looks and feels like an app that was properly planned.
The other feature you might not know about is that when you sign into chrome on your pc and you have chrome on any other device, and you sign into them you can tell chrome to sync your bookmarks. Pretty neat hey. That is a great help if you are into bookmarks, like me.
I really like it when my info is on more than one place at a time, in the digital world they say that if your information is not on more than one place at a time it doesn't exist. This is the honest truth ask anyone who has had their photos only on their PC. Its not if, it is when. Every little thing helps thus, having my bookmarks synced means next time I get a new PC,phone, laptop, pad I install chrome log in, and there you go everything still there as I like it..... Isn't that just nice.

Understanding the web and coffee
What can I say the two goes together. Koffie at kuwai in virgin active gym George south Africa.
I am doing this useless post just to use this space a bit.
Now that I do have something open. A very useful tip if you are Afrikaans and using a iPhone to text. Make your first letter a z and then move you cursor behind the z so it stays in front. That way it completely bypasses the spellchecker in the iPhone. This will help you not wanting to break your phone when you SMS etc.
O if you don't know how to get behind the z you've put in. Just hold down your finger in the z for two seconds it will give you a cursor you can move with your finger. I will post a video later.

Google Drive and Word
Most people struggle with backup up their documents. If you 've lost your documents before you know what a pain that can be. There are various problems in regards to documents like: How to send it where, and where to keep it. Enter Google Drive (google docs old version). On Google Drive you can store your documents, you have at least 7 gig of space on Google Drive for Word,Excel,Presentation etc documents. For most people this will be more than enough.
Where to find this service: Google Drive
If you already have a gmail account it is quite simple you just log in, and have access to it. You can also install the Google Drive App on your PC or Mac and have it sync the documents to your computer so that it is available offline. You can also just drop files into the folder that Google Drive App creates to send it to the web.
This blog gives a quick overview on how to sign up etc. Blog on how to sign up to Google Drive
There are various other options to store documents and sync it to all your pc's like DropBox, which is software that is widely used all over the world. It really depends what you want to do, and how you want to use it. I personally like drobbox as well and use it for files I want to sync between computers. It is easy to understand and get to work. No problems at all. Quite simple.

Blogger on iPhone
Just uploaded the blogger app on the iPhone this is the first test. I will see how I can integrate it with safari on the phone so I can publish from there when I am on the net searching.
I am enjoying blogger for iPhone however to type anything on the phone is a pain, but that goes for any small device it is not because of the iPhone.
the Blogger app for iPhone is well laid out and extremely simple. It might lack for me some social integration but that I can do from my PC.
Here is the link if you are on a mobile to get the app

This is what it looks like
